OBSERVATIONS

I am a manager at Madison Connection and have made several observations regarding the training session. When we were learning about the training that we were going to do for this year, we were making the training format up as we went. We had no data from the year before on the things that worked best and things that didn’t work went. We were making the whole training up as we were going and also were not doing any research on the best practices for a training. None of the managers are trained professionals in the training field so the training was totally based on the thoughts of the college aged managers. When we actually went through the training it was evident that the callers lacked a lot of interest because of the copious amount of time spent doing nothing. The training moved way quicker than the management team anticipated and they were scrambling for activities to do to try and hold the attention of the callers. To conclude, after the training I heard many callers talk about how long the training was and how repetitive some of the information was.
